The more planning time, the lower the price: our new pricing model

The more planning time you give us, the less your Castello costs. That is the one sentence our new pricing model boils down to. Until now, every Castello had one list price and one delivery time. From now on you have three options – and you decide which one suits your holiday and budget planning.

The three options

All prices are “turnkey”: new vehicle plus a complete conversion to a lengthwise sleeper in handcrafted quality, including 19% VAT, for delivery to Germany. The base price refers to the MAN TGE 4x2 with 140 hp; the other vehicles come with their surcharge on top.

• The Planner option – delivery in 9–10 months, from €89,900. The smartest way to save: you give us time to buy materials calmly and at a good price, and in return you lock in today’s fixed price.
• The Changeover option – delivery in 5–6 months, from €92,900. Enough time to sell your current vehicle without pressure and at a good price while your Castello is already being built.
• The Express option – delivery in 1–2 months, price depending on the available Express vehicles (starting at €95,900). For everyone whose holiday plans can’t wait – or who wants to put the Castello to commercial use straight away.

The vehicle surcharges are the same for every option: MAN TGE 4x2 automatic +€3,000, MAN TGE 4x4 +€6,000, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4x4 +€23,000. Crosswise sleeper, wet room, 3–4 seater and all modules are added at list price as usual – the configurator shows your price as you go.

What “Express” actually means

Express only works because we have pre-configured chassis standing in our yard – already pre-financed, usually MAN TGE 4x2 automatic or MAN TGE 4x4. You choose one of these vehicles, and we bring your build slot forward. There are two things you need to know: paint, packages and vehicle equipment are already fixed on every Express vehicle, based on more than 90% of our customers’ previous requests. The interior conversion remains your free choice. There is currently no Express option for the MAN TGE 4x2 with 140 hp or the Sprinter. Why “Express” costs more than “planned”

We don’t sell you artificial discounts – we sell you efficiency. If you give us planning time, we buy materials at a good price and keep production evenly loaded – and we pass that advantage on to you one to one. For the Express option we bring your build slot forward, push other work back to do so and have the chassis already pre-financed in our yard.

The easiest comparison is with a tradesperson: if you want them to come today, you pay the emergency call-out surcharge, because they push other jobs back. If you arrange the appointment calmly, you pay the normal rate. It is exactly the same with us.

Why this is fair: no hidden mixed calculation

At many manufacturers the cost of car parks full of unsold vehicles is baked into the normal list price. Anyone who buys with foresight pays for the spontaneous buyers as well. We think that is unfair. With us, everyone only pays for what they cause: if you are flexible, you pay the real, lower production price. If you want to set off straight away, you cover the Express effort yourself instead of it being spread across everyone else.

The trade fair bonus stays

At our trade fairs we take on many orders at once. That saves us effort and makes purchasing and production predictable – and we pass this advantage on, too: a €3,000 trade fair bonus on the base price for a binding order placed during the fair, with each of the three delivery-time options. The delivery times stay the same.

Payment plan: the first deposit depends on the delivery time

You pay in instalments. The second instalment is due when your vehicle has been delivered to our factory, the balance before handover.

• Planner option: 15% on order · 40% on vehicle delivery · 45% before pick-up
• Changeover option: 20% · 40% · 40%
• Express option: 60% on order · 40% before pick-up – the chassis is already in our yard, so the second deposit is dropped.

Quotes are valid for 14 days, Express quotes for 7 days.

What if something changes for you?

Life doesn’t always go to plan. Once you have placed a binding order, postponing your build slot is possible in exceptional cases – for example illness or a house move. Talk to us: we will move your build slot to the next free batch at no cost, provided there is room. If you cancel, a flat fee of 15% of the order total is offset against your deposit. And if you want to play it safe with a longer delivery time: on request we secure your deposit with a bank guarantee (€390) – we actively offer it with every order.
